D1S LED Bulb VS HID Xenon Bulb

Recently, many customers have asked us: Which one has better performance? LED or HID automotive bulbs?

As an automotive lighting manufacturer for over 15 years, CARAS has witnessed the HID replacing halogen bulbs, and now we believe that LED bulbs will also replace HID bulbs.

Reasons below:

• The luminous efficiency of LED is higher than HID, HID can up to 60 lumens per watt, but LED can over 100 lumens per Watt.

• The light pattern of HID is not good, and it is easy to shake the driver of the opposite vehicle and cause accidents. It needs to be used with a lens.

• In heavy fog and icy weather, HID penetration is very weak.

• Light up delay. Because of the working principle of HID, it needs 2-4s to light it up. As we know, delayed lighting is fatal when switching high beam to warn other vehicles while driving.

CARAS D1S LED Bulb VS Other D1S on the market

At present, most D series LED headlights on the market are similar to our last generation products with external drive (as shown in the image), which are not 1:1 size as the original D series HID bulbs.

Another significant difference is the chip. Most of D Series LED headlights adopt  the normal chip, but our G2 D Series LED headlight adopt custom high power chip which is dedicated to HID ballast.

Compared with others, our GⅡD Series LED headlights have below improvements:

• Built-in drive, size same as OEM HID D series bulbs.

• Custom high performance D series LED headlight dedicated chip.

Packing

CARAS D Series LED Headlights are designed with small package which can help to reduce the weight and shipping cost.

Each 2pcs D1S LED bulbs are packed into one box. OEM packing can be provided when MOQ is over 200 sets.
